Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Zeitgeist Labs, Inc. ("Zeitgeist Insight," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and the Pick Me Up mobile application (together, the "Services").
Pick Me Up is a wellbeing tool, not a medical service.
It does not provide medical or mental-health diagnosis or treatment and is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis or may be in danger, call your local emergency number, or in the U.S. call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — such as your name and email address, or the profile provided when you sign in with Google.
- Content you create — including wellbeing and feelings check-ins, journal and reflection entries, and voice recordings you choose to make (and text transcriptions derived from them).
- Your support network — people or contacts you choose to add or invite to support you or receive your messages.
- Communications — messages you send us, e.g. by email.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app data — device model, operating system, app version, and similar technical details.
- Diagnostics — crash and error reports used to keep the app reliable.
- Push notification tokens — if you enable notifications, so we can deliver reminders and updates.
Our marketing website itself uses no cookies, analytics, or trackers.
How we use information
- Provide and operate the Services, including delivering messages, journaling and reflection features, and transcription.
- Send notifications and service communications you have enabled.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug and improve reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Sensitive information
Some content you create may reflect your emotions or wellbeing. We treat this information with care, use it only to provide the Services to you and the people you choose, and do not sell it or use it for advertising.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With people you choose — e.g. members of your support network, as directed by you.
- With service providers — vendors who host and operate the Services on our behalf (for example, cloud hosting, transcription, and error-monitoring providers), under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- For legal reasons — to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Services.
- In a business transfer — e.g. a merger or acquisition, subject to this Policy.
Data retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, then delete or de-identify it, except where a longer period is required by law. You can request deletion at any time — see Data Deletion.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@zeitgeistinsight.com. You can also control notification and microphone permissions in your device settings.
Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest and on-device secure storage for sensitive values. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
International users
We operate from the United States; if you use the Services from elsewhere, you understand your information is processed in the U.S. and other countries where we or our providers operate.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
